Guidelines for living in Colorado
“Is it spring yet?!” This seems to be the common question heard in the hallowed halls of Intela as of late. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to live here for more than a handful of Colorado’s four full seasons may not quite understand – but that is what makes everything worthwhile. The natives (term used very lightly) decide when and how much information to bestow on the fledglings. Such information as, (1) always make sure you have enough wiper fluid, (2) don’t forget to take out that ever so important sub-zero survival pack that can keep you sustained with saltines for at least a day, (3) bring snow chains, even though you probably don’t know how to use them, (4) when asked, the response should always be, “but of course I winterized my car,” (5) never, under any circumstances, decide to give into the urge to try out a runaway truck ramp, (6) no matter what lane you are driving in, it is the wrong one (because all 84 huge SUV’s that are boxing you in have deemed it so), (7) bring water with you – everywhere, (8) always dress in layers (i.e. coat, shorts, gloves, hat, beanie, t-shirt, Crocs, sunscreen, snow boots, and most importantly lip balm.
Once these few guidelines to living in Colorado are followed, everything else will fall into place. Now go find a free Wi-Fi coffee house, log into Intela.com, and let the good times roll!
